Susan G Komen Fundraiser
"Drink to Pink" is a fundraiser for the Susan G Komen Foundation. For the ladies there will be mini mani-pedis and chair massages. For the men, there is the The "King of the Backyard" Bar-B-Que competition. September 11 & 12 - MS Society
The new Columbia office will provide support for Bike MS, the Gateway Area Chapter's largest fundraising event of the year. This event will be held at the Boone County Fairgrounds on September 11-12, 2010. There will be an opportunity for more than 3,000 cyclists ro raise over $2.4 million to support the Chapter's services and fund critical research for treatments and a cure for MS. The office is located at 4816 Santana Circle in Columbia and will assist close to 1,000 people living with MS in central Missouri. The new office will provide a base for the Chapter's advocacy activities in Jefferson City. The flop is a $30.00 buy in contribution, door prizes will be given and the top 9 players each month receive a payout. All proceeds will support the misson of the Missouri Hepatitis C Alliance to create awareness, provide education, detection and prevention of Hepatitis C, the leading cause of liver cancer. September 18 - Sugar Grove Fall Festival
Sugar Grove MCB will be having a Fall Festival on Saturday, September 18, 2010. The festival will highlight a hog roast and carnival activities for the entire family along with a bake sale, fine arts and crafts sale. (Advance tickets will be available)

No stand-in exhibitors, dealers, or agents will be permitted without permission from SGMBC Festival Committee.

September 18 & 19 - Annual Heritage Festival and Craft Show
Visitors will be taken back to the traditions of the past. Listen, learn, and see history as it comes alive. See artisans and tradesmen dressed in 19th century attire demonstrating their trades and selling their wares. A large contemporary handmade craft area will also be featured.
Enjoy entertainment on three stages including music, dancing and storytelling. Saturday Evening Ghost Stories (8-9:30 pm) are sponsored by the Mid-Missouri Organization Storytellers. Tour the Historic Maplewood Home and the Walter’s Boone County Historical Museum. Great food and a beautiful park setting will make the Heritage Festival a family tradition!
